Differential pressure controller DS01 -wodtke-

There are two versions of the DS01 differential pressure controller:

DS01 L:

• Simultaneous operation ¹ of ventilation systems with room air-dependent solid fuel combustion appliances.

DS01 M:

• Mixed occupancy ² - a Wodtke pellet stove and a fireplace without a fan for logs or, for example, coal briquettes on one chimney.
• Multiple occupancy³ - two Wodtke pellet stoves on one chimney.
  
  

¹ Simultaneous operation of room air-dependent solid fuel combustion appliances and ventilation systems:

The wodtke DS01 L continuously monitors the differential pressure between the flue connection of a room-air-dependent fireplace and the room where it is installed. If the differential pressure falls below a minimum value, the ventilation system is switched off. Monitoring is only active when the fireplace is in operation. The operating status of the fireplace is determined in different ways. For fireplaces burning logs and coal briquettes, a temperature measuring adapter is installed in the flue connection in addition to the pressure measuring adapter. If a minimum temperature is exceeded, the monitoring start signal is triggered. For wodtke pellet stoves, the DS01 L is connected to the stove's circuit board via cable and receives the monitoring start signal directly.

² Mixed occupancy - one pellet stove and one fireplace without a fan for logs, lignite briquettes on one chimney.

The wodtke DS01 M continuously monitors the differential pressure between the flue of the pellet stove (without a fan) and the room in which it is installed. If the differential pressure falls below a minimum value, the pellet stove is switched off. Thus, even in the extreme case of a chimney blockage, the DS01 M prevents the exhaust gases from flowing into the room via the non-operating pellet stove (without a fan) by shutting down the wodtke pellet stove. Monitoring is only active when the pellet stove is in operation. The wodtke DS01 M is connected to the stove's circuit board via cable and receives the start signal for monitoring directly.

³ Multiple occupancy - two pellet stoves on one chimney.

The wodtke DS01 M continuously monitors the differential pressure between the connecting piece of the non-operating pellet stove and the room in which it is located. If the negative pressure falls below a minimum value, the operating pellet stove is switched off. Thus, even in the extreme case of a chimney blockage, the DS01 M prevents the exhaust gases of the operating pellet stove from flowing into the room of the non-operating pellet stove by switching off the operating stove. Monitoring is also ensured if both stoves are in operation, as both DS01 M units are activated. In the extreme case of a chimney blockage, both stoves are switched off. Monitoring is only active when one pellet stove is in operation. The wodtke DS01 M is connected to the pellet stove's circuit board via cable and receives the start signal for monitoring directly.

Important information:
The two differential pressure controllers DS01 L and DS01 M, with their special accessories, are suitable for wodtke pellet stoves and wodtke wood-burning stoves, as well as for all commercially available wood-burning stoves/room heaters, in accordance with EN 13240, fireplace/heating inserts in accordance with EN 13229 (except open fireplaces) and cookers in accordance with EN 12815.
